The 4 Subgrades.
Every card is graded individually in four categories. The overall grade is the geometric mean of the four subgrades: one weak category can't be offset by three strong ones.
Centering
Rates how centered the print is on the card. Measured as the ratio of the borders on front and back.
Corners
Rates the condition of the four corners. Checked for wear, creases, whitening and damage.
Edges
Rates the condition of the card edges. Checked for abrasion, chips, whitening and unevenness.
Surface
Rates the card's surface. Checked for scratches, print defects, dirt and damage.
Label Variants.
Three label tiers show at a glance what a card has achieved: from the standard label to the black Pristine label for a Quad-10.
Standard
Classic white label for all grades.
Gold
Gold label for the overall grade 10 (Gem Mint).
Black (Pristine)
Black Pristine label: all four subgrades at 10.
The AI Hybrid System.
AI grades every card first: measured, scored, documented. The grader verifies the result and steps in where the eye sees more than the scan. Every deviation is justified.
AI Grading
Every card is scanned in high resolution. AI measures the centering and detects scratches, whitening and edge wear. For each corner and edge individually, documented in your certificate's detail report.
Verification
The grader checks every AI grade against the card itself: eye appeal, rare print errors, everything only the eye can see.
